Common questions

Are these really free?

Yes, all 72. No email address, no account, no newsletter in between. They are direct downloads, and you are welcome to print them, share them and use them in class.

Which level should I pick?

A1 if you are starting out, A2 once simple sentences feel comfortable. If you are unsure, the free level test places you somewhere between A1 and C2 in a couple of minutes.

What is a graded reader?

A story written deliberately inside a limited vocabulary and grammar range, so you can read it end to end at your level instead of stopping at every third word. These are graded to the CEFR scale, one story per level.

Can I use these with my students?

Yes. Print them, hand them out, build a lesson around them. They are free to use in a classroom, and there is nothing to sign up for.
